A special excursion to the South of the island, what else but the Trypiti beach – South coast route with the visit to the historical Monastery of Saint George Epanosifis, the passing from the biggest valley of Crete Messara, the Off-roading through the huge vertical rocks of the gorge of Trypiti and the swimming in the crystal clear waters of the South Cretan sea in the well-hidden exotic calm beach of Trypiti!
We start our tour heading towards the South side of the island and passing through many traditional settlements. Τhis will be beginning to experience the unknown beauty of the island and understand the tribal peaceful way of life of the hospitable locals.
Heading to our first stop we will tour around the mountain range of the highest mountain of Crete, Psiloritis. A place that is characterized as a GLOBAL GEOPARK by UNESCO!
Then we will arrive at the holy Monastery of Saint George Epanosifis, one of the more populous and famous monasteries on Crete!
We continue driving through the biggest valley of Crete surrounded by the olive forests and we will visit a small village for a walk or coffee. After the small break, we will pass through the biggest valley of Crete next to ancient monuments of the pre-Minoan, Minoan, and Roman eras just before our descent inside the gorge and through huge vertical rocks that end at the well-hidden and exotic beach of Trypiti. Enjoy a highly impressive route through the forest of wild olive trees and wild goats that live in the area.
